The outline of the body swells upwards and outwards and towards the middle and then recedes inwards towards the narrow concave throat with its asymmetric, everted lip. The wall of the vase is decorated with a continuous series of irregular, concentric ridges and channels. The surface, both internally and externally is left softly planished with the hammer marks still visible and given a matt, white finish.","artistMakerPerson":[{"name":{"text":"Suzuki, Hiroshi","id":"A3490"},"association":{"text":"artist","id":"AAT25103"},"note":""}],"artistMakerOrganisations":[],"artistMakerPeople":[],"materials":[{"text":"silver","id":"AAT11029"}],"techniques":[{"text":"raising","id":"AAT237068"}],"materialsAndTechniques":"Silver, hand-raised","categories":[{"text":"Metalwork","id":"THES48920"}],"styles":[],"collectionCode":{"text":"MET","id":"THES48599"},"images":["2006AG7310"],"imageResolution":"low","galleryLocations":[{"current":{"text":"003","id":"THES404528"},"free":"","case":"","shelf":"","box":""}],"partTypes":[[{"text":"Vase","id":""}]],"contentWarnings":[{"apprise":"","note":""}],"placesOfOrigin":[{"place":{"text":"London","id":"x28980"},"association":{"text":"made","id":"x28654"},"note":""}],"productionDates":[{"date":{"text":"1999","earliest":"1999-01-01","latest":"1999-12-31"},"association":{"text":"made","id":"x28654"},"note":""}],"associatedObjects":[],"creditLine":"","dimensions":[{"dimension":"Height","value":"27.5","unit":"cm","qualifier":"","date":{"text":"","earliest":null,"latest":null},"part":"maximum","note":""},{"dimension":"Diameter","value":"15.3","unit":"cm","qualifier":"","date":{"text":"","earliest":null,"latest":null},"part":"maximum","note":""}],"dimensionsNote":"","marksAndInscriptions":[{"content":"London hallmarks for 2000.
