Under Giovanni Baroni the neo-classical tradition was maintained, and much use was made of engravings, printed by Remondini of Bassano, in the Painting of battle and port scenes, This vase shows European merchants in contemporary costume in an oriental or North African port, and may be attributed to the prinicpal painter at Le Nove, Giovanni Marcon.
