On each side of the picture is an architectural column. Above, in the centre, the Virgin and Child; on each side of this a river scene with houses and hills on the farther bank and on the left the figure of St John the Baptist and on the right the figure of St Ulric. Below the picture a coat of arms (azure, fleur de lys in base and two stars in chief, or); with full achievements and crest within an oval wreath. On each side of the wreath a scrolled frame supported by cupids and containing an inscription. Below the right hand corner of the inscription is the signature HR in monogram.\r\n\r\nExecuted in stained and painted glas, flashed ruby glass and blue and green enamel. The Emperor Contad is shown mounted on a white charger to the left of the picture. A company of soldiers is in the bacground. The wives of the citizens of Weinsberg are seen energing from the city gates on the right and crossing in procession before the Emperor, carrying on their backs their husbands, children and household goods.
