In the main text: 'As human figures of the St James type are not anatomically exact, but rather stylized, so are the animal models.  Their eyes bulge, and have indented pupils [fig. 5.10]; this feature is also to be found in the Chelsea pair of greyhound and retrieving setter of the Triangle period discussed by J.V.G. Mallet, as well as the single, smaller recumbent greyhound marked with the underglaze blue Crown and Trident, and a goat being milked by a putto, both in the Victoria and Albert Museum.  J.V.G.
