Dingwall, DSO through The Art Fund\r\nThis group, which is severely damaged, represents two peasants on a rocky base and is typical of figures produced at the end of the 18th century. In the price lists of this era groups of two or more figures are often mentioned but it is very difficult to identify them without precise details. Figures of amorous couples were manufactured by almost all of the European factories and were often used as decorative elements of table settings.
