The figure of the Turk was taken from the engraving of the Chatir, ou Valet de pied du Grand Visir (DE FERRIOL 1714, plate 28); the female figure is based on the engraving of a Femme Persienne (DE FERRIOL 1714,plate 91).The figures were attributed to Naples when they were given to the museum.
