This statuette is carved in several sections and some parts are later replacements. Three-dimentional images of St George were ubiquitous in the Tyrol and South Germany. The square shoes -if the replacements follow the original- and the costume point to a date of about 1510-20. St. George is shown mounted on horseback, the group set on a rectangular moulded base. He holds a spear in both gloved hands and attacks the dragon, which is seen struggling beneath the horse.
