D. Adams, the daughter of George Gammon Adams, in 1980. In total, 196 items were included in the Adams gift, which consisted of many models for medals as well as the busts and figurative sculpture. In most instances it is not possible to date conclusively the many models included in this gift.","physicalDescription":"Allegorical scene of Victory standing to right presenting a laurel branch to a kneeling warrior.","artistMakerPerson":[{"name":{"text":"Adams, George Gammon","id":"A3907"},"association":{"text":"maker","id":"AAT251917"},"note":""}],"artistMakerOrganisations":[],"artistMakerPeople":[],"materials":[{"text":"wax","id":"AAT14585"},{"text":"slate","id":"AAT11646"}],"techniques":[],"materialsAndTechniques":"White wax on slate","categories":[{"text":"Sculpture","id":"THES48896"},{"text":"Coins & Medals","id":"THES48974"}],"styles":[],"collectionCode":{"text":"SCP","id":"THES48600"},"images":["2006AE3137"],"imageResolution":"high","galleryLocations":[{"current":{"text":"016","id":"THES396273"},"free":"","case":"","shelf":"","box":""}],"partTypes":[[{"text":"Model","id":""}],[{"text":"Roundel","id":""}]],"contentWarnings":[{"apprise":"","note":""}],"placesOfOrigin":[{"place":{"text":"England","id":"x28826"},"association":{"text":"made","id":"x28654"},"note":""}],"productionDates":[{"date":{"text":"ca. 1846","earliest":"1841-01-01","latest":"1850-12-31"},"association":{"text":"made","id":"x28654"},"note":""}],"associatedObjects":[],"creditLine":"Given by Miss I.D.
