Meyer Memorial Foundation).","historicalContext":"Sir David Lionel Goldsmid-Stern-Salomons Bart., J.P., D.L (1851-1925) was adopted by his uncle Alderman Sir David Salomons first Baronet and Lord Mayor of London who died in 1873, succeeding him under a special reminder. In 1889 he assumed the additional names of Goldsmid and Stern. He was a pioneer of electric lighting and constructed an electric automobile in 1874.
