It was sold to the Victoria and Albert Museum in 1977 as a duplicate.\n\nHarold Stabler (1872-1945) lived and worked with his wife, Phoebe Stabler, the sculptress, at Upper Mall, Hammersmith, London.  He was in charge of the art section of the Cass Institute for many years and was one of the close advisers, along with Charles Holden, to Frank Pick.  He was partner in the firm of Poole Potters and some of the tiles he designed for Pick and London Transport can be seen in the Tube station at St. Paul's and elsewhere.
