A concave ceiling with vertical and horizontal bands of guilloche ornament, lion's masks and drapery, large circular paterae and trophies of arms. At the apex of the ceiling is a lunette shaped panel filled with a radiating design of palm leaves. A moulded cornice and frieze are supported at the back on two columns with Ionic capitals, the compartment between them surrounded by a moulded architrave. At the front the soffit of the arched opening is panelled and supported at the corners on two pilasters.
