Velleman clearly liked T-shirts that had surfing and skateboarding motifs, so this shirt may simply have been picked up because he liked the design, rather than it being from Life's a Beach. However, the colours, particularly the red-to-orange ombré background to the main illustration, are echoed in T.595-1997, so it is very probable that this is from them as well. Life's a Beach was a beachwear, skatewear and surfwear company founded in the USA in 1984 by Jeff Theoodosakis and brothers Mark & Brian Simo. They went out of business around 1991-92, but were very popular in their time for designs like Bad Boy Club, designed by Mark 'Boogaloo' Baagoe (see T.572-1997).\r\n\nDaniel Milford-Cottam, 07/05/2025\r\n","historicalContext":"","briefDescription":"Printed cotton T-shirt, 'Beach Bones'.
