Scalloped edge. In the well is a group of dead game in a woodland clearing, comprising a duck, a pheasant and a hare. This decoration is based on a print from a series of six entitled <i>Trofées de Chasse</i> drawn by Christophe Huet (1700-59) and engraved by Jean-Baptiste Guélard, ca.1750. The border is painted with a shell edge, in blue and gold, and three trophies of dead game with hunting accoutrements also derived from <i>Trofées de Chasse,</i> alternating with swags of foliage.
