The vertical repeat shows a pair of patterned bands separated by a central 'trunk' flanked by pairs of geometric stripes. Half of this device runs along each selvedge. \r\n\r\nThe bands have bunches of grapes, berries, tendrils and florets born on stems. These emerge from the central and lateral trunks crossed by a pair of doves. The lower dove flies to the left and downwards, the upper flies to the right and upwards. The left band has additional pomegranate like fruits, and the right band has pear like fruits.\n\nThe fabric is woven with two shuttles, one for the satin ground and one for the weft pattern.
