The Crystal Palace was located in Hyde Park in central London until 1854, when it was taken down and rebuilt in Sydenham in south London. The Great Exhibition was visited by more than six million people, and one hundred thousand exhibits were on display. The fountain, visible in this lithograph, was a popular meeting point during the exhibition.
