This translates into about 265 guineas. The donor stated at time of acquisition that Hartnell considered this dress to be one of his finest creations, and that only two had been made, this one and the original gown for presentations.","historicalContext":"Robina Lund (b. 1936), the daughter of Sir Thomas Lund, the secretary of Britain's Law Society, was the secretary and legal advisor to the American oil billionaire J. Paul Getty (1892-1976) from the age of 23, in 1959. She acted as Getty's PA and professional companion for public affairs, attending premieres, openings and parties as his partner, though they were careful to categorically deny any romantic relationship.","briefDescription":"Evening dress and stole, 1965, British, Norman Hartnell.
