Identification would be problematic except for the tight hair curls and the three chignons which are associated with images of Krishna, the three twists of hair symbolising Vishnu's three cosmetic strides (trivikrama). This device also suggests that it is the child Krishna who is being represented - Khmer children are represented in Angkorian reliefs with the same distinctive hair style.
