The company was founded in 1856, and has been making cutlery since the 1920s. Much of its present cutlery is reminiscent of its earlier models. The Danish branch of Gense traces its roots back to 1838 and the famous company Andersen & Burchart and later on the famous silversmith Carl M. Cohr and his magnificient silverware. Hence, timeless design, elegance and high quality materials and finish are the hallmarks of Gense. \r\n\r\nThe head office of Gense is located in Eskilstuna, Sweden and the company has subsidiaries in Denmark, Finland, Belgium and France. The high-quality products of Gense are produced in their own plants in Eskilstuna, Gembloux, Tallinn and Turku. Gense has been a part of the K.A.Rasmussen Group since 1995.\r\n\r\nThis pair of salad servers is part of the Focus de Luxe range.\n\nFolke Arström was the artistic director for AB Gense in Sweden for 20 years. He achieved both design and sales successes in flatware and kitchenware. He could sense the demands of the market and was a leading figure in the field of Swedish design.","physicalDescription":"Pair of salad servers. Stainless steel with black nylon sheathed handles.
