The projects were for an Entertainment Facility (1969) and projects for a Summer Casino (1972), neither was built.\r\n\r\nArchigram won first prize in the Monte Carlo Competition in January 1970 and were then asked to design extra facilities. This resulted in nearly trebling the estimated cost and the project was not built.\r\n\r\nThis particular panel is numbered 15.","historicalContext":"","briefDescription":"Panel with a design for a Salle Galas in Monte Carlo by Archigram, ca.1972","bibliographicReferences":[{"reference":{"text":"","id":""},"details":"","free":"Taken from Departmental Circulation Register 1974 "}],"production":"","productionType":{"text":"Unique","id":"THES48864"},"contentDescription":"","contentPlaces":[],"associatedPlaces":[],"contentPerson":[],"associatedPerson":[],"contentOrganisations":[],"associatedOrganisations":[],"contentPeople":[],"associatedPeople":[],"contentEvents":[],"associatedEvents":[],"contentOthers":[],"contentConcepts":[],"contentLiteraryRefs":[],"galleryLabels":[{"text":"<b>Archigram</b>\r\nProject for a Summer Casino,\r\nMonte Carlo, Monaco\r\nBritish, about 1970\r\nPen and ink, felt tipped pen and \r\ncollage\r\n\r\nThis is part of a scheme entered in a \r\nlimited competition for a new casino\r\nincorporating parts of the 1930s summer\r\nCasino on reclaimed land to the east of the\r\nharbour.
