His work shows the range of products and illustration styles, from aeroplanes and cars, beer and perfume, to satirical cartoons and calendar pin-up girls and is representative of the post war boom in advertising during the late 1940s and 1950s.\r\n\r\nThis gouache drawing shows a 1940s car of American style facing left. The outlandish style of the car, with its large grill and lights is emphasized both by its being placed in the foreground of the sheet and by the use of a bright pink to represent it.
