Concentric rings are added to the top of the left-hand scroll and a small chi dragon serves as knop of the lid on the right-hand scroll. A small cartouche enclosing the characters Youchun is stamped on the inside of the lid, Chunjian 友春.\n\r\nMany Yixing potters signed their works, and it is not unusual to find teapots inscribed with the names of both the owner and the potter. When only one name is found on a piece, as in the present case, it is not always possible to tell whether the name belongs to the owner or the potter.","artistMakerPerson":[{"name":{"text":"Unknown","id":"A1848"},"association":{"text":"","id":""},"note":""}],"artistMakerOrganisations":[],"artistMakerPeople":[],"materials":[{"text":"zisha clay","id":"THES395831"}],"techniques":[{"text":"","id":""},{"text":"","id":""}],"materialsAndTechniques":"Zisha clay, mould making","categories":[{"text":"Tea, coffee & chocolate wares","id":"THES48886"},{"text":"Ceramics","id":"THES48982"}],"styles":[{"text":"Qing","id":"AAT18478"}],"collectionCode":{"text":"EAS","id":"THES48596"},"images":["2006AW2061","2006AW2060"],"imageResolution":"high","galleryLocations":[{"current":{"text":"136 (VA)","id":"THES49877"},"free":"","case":"10","shelf":"3","box":""},{"current":{"text":"136 (VA)","id":"THES49877"},"free":"","case":"10","shelf":"3","box":""}],"partTypes":[[{"text":"Teapot","id":""}],[{"text":"Lid","id":""}]],"contentWarnings":[{"apprise":"","note":""},{"apprise":"","note":""},{"apprise":"","note":""}],"placesOfOrigin":[{"place":{"text":"Yixing","id":"x32221"},"association":{"text":"made","id":"x28654"},"note":""}],"productionDates":[{"date":{"text":"ca. 1850-1875","earliest":"1845-01-01","latest":"1875-12-31"},"association":{"text":"made","id":"x28654"},"note":""}],"associatedObjects":[],"creditLine":"Charles Lund Gift","dimensions":[{"dimension":"Height","value":"11.5","unit":"cm","qualifier":"","date":{"text":"","earliest":null,"latest":null},"part":"with lid","note":""}],"dimensionsNote":"","marksAndInscriptions":[{"content":"A small cartouche enclosing the characters Youchun is stamped on the inside of the lid.","inscriber":{"name":{"text":"","id":""},"association":{"text":"","id":""}},"date":{"text":"","earliest":null,"latest":null},"description":"","interpretation":"","language":"","medium":"","method":"","position":"","script":"","translation":"","transliteration":"","type":"","note":""}],"objectHistory":"Given by Mr. Charles Lund, accessioned in 1908.
