A lid with a circular knob and outward-flaring rim forms a set with a hemispherical body with a low foot. Stamped patterns feature densely over the whole vessel, except for the knob and the foot. The middle and lower parts of the lid and bowl are adorned with a combination of gouged dots and diamond shapes. The upper part of the bowl is encircled by two incised lines below which cicada-shaped patterns feature at regular intervals. The clay body contains a high proportion of sand particles and is relatively rough. It has fired a greyish-blue colour. The foot slants slightly outwards and bears marks of having been smoothed with a wet hand after having been trimmed with a blade.\r\n\r\n","physicalDescription":"This stoneware vessel is decorated with stamped designs in a manner popular in the Unified Silla period.
