Such an outfit would have been worn for an audience with the king or for an auspicious event at the Korean court. The overjacket was made by one of the few tailors in Seoul still able to provide the hand-woven and dyed fine silk gauze used in traditional court costume.","physicalDescription":"Made to complete the outfit of T.196-1920, the overcoat is made of fine red silk gauze with a pattern of circles that enclose pairs of dragons chasing a flaming pearl.
