The border in blue with alternating flowers, the 'Books' (one of the 'Eight Precious Things') and 'Conch shells'.  On the back a device a little like an I, F or E is painted in blue within the foot-rim.  Three stilt marks on the front (9.5 cms point to point).\nBody colour: Reddish buff.\nGlaze: Dull white.  A clear lead glaze pooling at the foot, greenish and crawling in places, over a pale slip covers the entire back.  The foot-rim has possibly been partially wiped clean of glaze, and has traces of blue here and there.\nShape: Shape A with a deeper well and without an everted rim.  Foot-rim pierced with two holes close together before firing.
