To the left are piled arms with a drum and flag; to the right a plant growing from a pot; in the foreground a small bird (a dove?).  The border consists of flowers, pods, buds, and leafy scrolls.  All the decoration is in blue.  No apparent stilt marks.\nBody colour: Reddish buff.\nGlaze: Dull white with many tiny white specks.  The front appears to have added kwaart.  Except for a few areas of exposed biscuit on and near the foot the back is covered with a white tin-glaze similar to the front, perhaps over a pale slip.  The foot-rim has possibly been partially wiped clean of glaze.\nShape: Shape A without any thickening at the rim which has a shallow groove.  Foot pierced with one hole before firing.
