The central part is patterned with irregular spots and four pink lines.  There are scrolling lines in dark brown and cream.\r\nThe word DORN is knotted in dark brown wool in the lower left hand corner.\r\n\r\nTechnique:\r\nWarp: white wool; Z3S; 8 thread per inch (32 per dm).\r\nWeft: dark brown wool; Z3S; 2 shoots after each row of knots; 4 knots per inch (16 per dm).\r\nPile: wool; 6 colours: dark brown, brown, light brown, beige, pink, cream; symmetrical knot tied around two threads; 16 knots per sq. inch (256 per sq.dm).\r\nSide Finish: one cord oversewn with dark brown wool.\r\nEnd Finish: Returned warp threads at both ends.
