Both parties succeeded in entering Parliament during the 1990 elections - the first democratic elections in Romania following the overthrow of the communist dictator Nicolae Ceausescu in 1989. This poster produced by the Romanian Ecological Movement (MER) promotes the party's concerns with our eco-system, with finding sustainable solutions and protecting resources. It portrays a deserted landscape with a factory in the background draining polluted waste into the water and sky. In the foreground, a frog holds a paper with the hand-written text 'Eco-logical asylum!'.  To the side, a placard states 'the Romanian Ecological Movement requests the end of pollution!'
