Players left holding cards score penalty points of different amounts depending on the type of cards they have left. For example, the Whot card is worth 20 points but the triangle is only worth 2. At the end of the game the player with the fewest penalty points is the winner and the player with the most is the loser.","physicalDescription":"","artistMakerPerson":[],"artistMakerOrganisations":[{"name":{"text":"John Waddington Ltd.","id":"A4538"},"association":{"text":"publisher","id":"x32600"},"note":""}],"artistMakerPeople":[],"materials":[],"techniques":[],"materialsAndTechniques":"","categories":[{"text":"Games","id":"THES48947"}],"styles":[],"collectionCode":{"text":"YVA","id":"THES48593"},"images":["2025PH2350"],"imageResolution":"low","galleryLocations":[{"current":{"text":"006","id":"THES344363"},"free":"","case":"","shelf":"","box":""},{"current":{"text":"006","id":"THES344363"},"free":"","case":"","shelf":"","box":""},{"current":{"text":"006","id":"THES344363"},"free":"","case":"","shelf":"","box":""},{"current":{"text":"006","id":"THES344363"},"free":"","case":"","shelf":"","box":""}],"partTypes":[[{"text":"boxes (containers)","id":"AAT45643"}],[{"text":"playing surface","id":"AAT27458"}],[{"text":"rules (instructions)","id":"AAT27458"}],[{"text":"playing cards","id":"AAT211294"}]],"contentWarnings":[{"apprise":"","note":""},{"apprise":"","note":""},{"apprise":"","note":""},{"apprise":"","note":""},{"apprise":"","note":""}],"placesOfOrigin":[{"place":{"text":"England","id":"x28826"},"association":{"text":"published","id":"x30682"},"note":""}],"productionDates":[{"date":{"text":"1970's","earliest":"1970-01-01","latest":"1979-12-31"},"association":{"text":"published","id":"x30682"},"note":""}],"associatedObjects":[],"creditLine":"Given by Norman Andrews","dimensions":[],"dimensionsNote":"","marksAndInscriptions":[],"objectHistory":"","historicalContext":"","briefDescription":"Whot game containing 54 cards, instructions, and playing surface, published by John Waddington Ltd, England, in the 1970's.","bibliographicReferences":[],"production":"","productionType":{"text":"Mass produced","id":"THES48863"},"contentDescription":"","contentPlaces":[],"associatedPlaces":[],"contentPerson":[],"associatedPerson":[],"contentOrganisations":[],"associatedOrganisations":[],"contentPeople":[],"associatedPeople":[],"contentEvents":[],"associatedEvents":[],"contentOthers":[],"contentConcepts":[],"contentLiteraryRefs":[],"galleryLabels":[],"partNumbers":["B.146:4-2004","B.146:3-2004","B.146:2-2004","B.146:1-2004"],"accessionNumberNum":"146","accessionNumberPrefix":"B","accessionYear":2004,"otherNumbers":[],"copyNumber":"","aspects":["WHOLE","boxes (containers)","playing surface","rules (instructions)","playing cards"],"assets":[],"recordModificationDate":"2026-04-02","recordCreationDate":"2009-02-25","availableToBook":false}}
