In her Journals (vol. II, p. 337, 13 April 1881) she records: '... we went out and explored all the curiosity shops of the town, but with little success, the chief purchase being a pair of jugs of doubtful origin from Kidson's', later adding 'I have seen enough of Liverpool, and never wish to revisit it. The Irish squalor I witnessed there is painful, and disgusting beyond description.'","historicalContext":"","briefDescription":"Jug, of soft-paste porcelain painted in enamels and gilded, Philip Christian's factory, Liverpool, ca. 1768-78","bibliographicReferences":[{"reference":{"text":"","id":""},"details":"","free":"Hillis, Maurice. <u>Liverpool Porcelain, 1756-1804.</u> 2011, pl. 6.7, where dated ca. 1768-79"}],"production":"","productionType":{"text":"","id":""},"contentDescription":"","contentPlaces":[],"associatedPlaces":[],"contentPerson":[],"associatedPerson":[],"contentOrganisations":[],"associatedOrganisations":[],"contentPeople":[],"associatedPeople":[],"contentEvents":[],"associatedEvents":[],"contentOthers":[{"text":"mask","id":"x30067"},{"text":"horse","id":"AAT249313"},{"text":"hunting","id":"AAT239666"},{"text":"boy","id":"x42934"},{"text":"men","id":"AAT25928"},{"text":"hare","id":"x30063"},{"text":"dog (animal)","id":"x30186"}],"contentConcepts":[],"contentLiteraryRefs":[],"galleryLabels":[],"partNumbers":["414:787/A-1885"],"accessionNumberNum":"414","accessionNumberPrefix":"","accessionYear":1885,"otherNumbers":[{"type":{"text":"Schreiber number","id":"THES50279"},"number":"Sch.
