When Tessa is sexually assaulted by a colleague, she questions the adequacy of a male-established justice system that fails her and other victims.\n\nThe necklace was worn throughout the show and was a key device used by Comer to get into character. Having completed hair and make-up, then getting in costume, Comer credits the final ritual of putting on the necklace as her mentally taking on the character of Tessa.
