The painter has stippled small dots of a darker shade of blue on the fruits to create a more three dimensional effect.\r\n\r\nThe peach is symbolic of longevity through its long association with the mythical western paradise where a magical peach tree was fabled to bear peaches tehat would bestow eternal life upon those who eat them. The finger citron with its many 'fingers' represent abundant blessings. These good wishes would have been appropriate for a birthday gift.","physicalDescription":"Porcelain dish with curved sides and double footring.
