Maison ARTC creates unique garments using specially sourced antique fabrics and vintage clothing from around the world. As well as seasonal runway collections, the label creates made-to-order bespoke commissions for dedicated clients. In 2022 Ifrach won the Fashion Trust Arabia award. The central piece of this outfit, titled 'Ramadan' by the creator, is a patchwork coat that was entirely handstitched during the Islamic holy month of Ramadan in Spring 2024. Ifrach created the piece as a meditation on faith, time and culture. The abundant and eclectic mix of textiles sourced from around the world reflects Ifrach’s exploration of heritage, cultural exchange and craft.","physicalDescription":"An outfit consisting of a full-length coat made from a collection of vintage and antique textiles, sourced by the creator, including silks, wools, cottons, linens and lace with printed, woven and embroidered decoration. The different textiles are sewn onto a lining of synthetic voile and form a pictorial patchwork depicting silhouettes of women wearing niqab, with large silver sequins embrodiered to depict the eye area. The coat is styled with a waistcoat and flared trousers dating to the 1970s, sourced in London, which Maison ARTC has embroidered with metal sequins and red silk thread. A lace scarf and a 1960s velvet hat finish the outfit. Titled ‘Coming Home’, the collection was a tribute to the Moroccan diaspora and Ifrach’s home city of Marrakech.  The collection was presented at 180 Studios during London Fashion Week in February 2025. Maison ARTC was one of two Moroccan fashion labels invited to present at London Fashion Week that season, as part of a collaboration with the Moroccan National Tourist Office.\r\n\r\nArtsi Ifrach, creative director of Maison ARTC wrote of the outfit:\r\n\"I wanted to open a conversation about culture and roots — from the past, through the present, and into the future. Each woman on this garment is made from a different piece, from different places across the world. But they all have one thing in common: the value of culture and artisanal tradition. It is not just a garment — it is a work of time, care, and deep intention. Everything was made by hand. Every detail has meaning. It carries the energy of the person who made it, and the story behind it.\"\r\n","historicalContext":"","briefDescription":"'Ramadan' outfit, patchwork cape of assorted textiles with metal spangle embroidery, polyester waistcoat and trousers embellished with metal spangles, velvet hat and lace scarf, Maison ARTC by Artsi Ifrah, Spring/Summer 2025, Marakech, Morocco","bibliographicReferences":[],"production":"","productionType":{"text":"Unique","id":"THES48864"},"contentDescription":"","contentPlaces":[],"associatedPlaces":[],"contentPerson":[],"associatedPerson":[],"contentOrganisations":[],"associatedOrganisations":[],"contentPeople":[],"associatedPeople":[],"contentEvents":[],"associatedEvents":[],"contentOthers":[],"contentConcepts":[],"contentLiteraryRefs":[],"galleryLabels":[],"partNumbers":["T.52:1-2026","T.52:2-2026","T.52:3-2026","T.52:4-2026","T.52:5-2026"],"accessionNumberNum":"52","accessionNumberPrefix":"T","accessionYear":2026,"otherNumbers":[],"copyNumber":"","aspects":["WHOLE"],"assets":[],"recordModificationDate":"2026-05-20","recordCreationDate":"2025-11-28","availableToBook":false}}
