The master did not sign his works but has been verified by archival documents: in a report by Vitalii, the Guardian of the Far Caves, dated 23 September 1785, on the work carried out by silversmith Chyzhevskyi mentions the completion of a silver chalice with niello, a diskos and an asterisk, perhaps referring to this one. On the arcs, against a gilded textured background, there are full-length images of St. Basil the Great, St. Gregory the Theologian, St. John Chrysostom, and St. James the Brother of God, framed in rocaille cartouches and executed in engraving and blackwork techniques. Above the figures, there are winged heads and inscriptions in ornamental frames. The arcs are fastened with a round plate secured by a screw, which is tightened with a nut. The plate features an image of the Nativity scene. Border scenes and markings.
