The atelier focuses on transforming resources from the surrounding bioregion into innovative, low-carbon building products. \n \nThese vessels were designed from 3D scans of historical Roman glassware found in the river Rhone. The scans were then reinterpreted and 3D printed with microalgae sugar-based filament. The algae used in the filament was collected from the same site, creating a direct connection between material and place.\n","physicalDescription":"","artistMakerPerson":[],"artistMakerOrganisations":[{"name":{"text":"Atelier Luma","id":"AUTH412020"},"association":{"text":"","id":""},"note":""}],"artistMakerPeople":[],"materials":[{"text":"Starch","id":"AAT12959"}],"techniques":[],"materialsAndTechniques":"","categories":[],"styles":[],"collectionCode":{"text":"FWK","id":"THES48597"},"images":["2026PM5977"],"imageResolution":"low","galleryLocations":[{"current":{"text":"76","id":"THES49548"},"free":"","case":"CA14","shelf":"","box":""}],"partTypes":[],"contentWarnings":[{"apprise":"","note":""}],"placesOfOrigin":[{"place":{"text":"Arles","id":"x37626"},"association":{"text":"","id":""},"note":""}],"productionDates":[{"date":{"text":"2017","earliest":"2017-01-01","latest":"2017-12-31"},"association":{"text":"","id":""},"note":""}],"associatedObjects":[],"creditLine":"","dimensions":[],"dimensionsNote":"","marksAndInscriptions":[],"objectHistory":"","historicalContext":"","briefDescription":"Roman cup by Atelier Luma, 3D printed with microalgae and sugar-based biopolymer filament. \n","bibliographicReferences":[],"production":"","productionType":{"text":"small batch","id":"THES252237"},"contentDescription":"","contentPlaces":[],"associatedPlaces":[],"contentPerson":[],"associatedPerson":[],"contentOrganisations":[],"associatedOrganisations":[],"contentPeople":[],"associatedPeople":[],"contentEvents":[],"associatedEvents":[],"contentOthers":[],"contentConcepts":[],"contentLiteraryRefs":[],"galleryLabels":[],"partNumbers":["W.3-2026"],"accessionNumberNum":"3","accessionNumberPrefix":"W","accessionYear":2026,"otherNumbers":[],"copyNumber":"","aspects":["WHOLE"],"assets":["2026PP5435"],"recordModificationDate":"2026-06-17","recordCreationDate":"2025-10-20","availableToBook":false}}
