According to the Etnia Barcelona press release, GDRD (Gold Red) used 'a mix of colours reminiscent of his iconic stripes and the shoulder padded ‘spacesuit’ that he wore on The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust Tour'. BLKGD (Black Gold) were 'inspired by the patent leather bodysuit [Bowie] wore on the Aladdin Sane Tour'. Finally, WHBL (White Blue) were '...reminiscent of Bowie’s own glasses from this period.' \r\n","historicalContext":"","briefDescription":"'Ziggy Stardust' GDRD sunglasses by Etnia Barcelona, from their David Bowie Tribute collection, 2019 ","bibliographicReferences":[],"production":"","productionType":{"text":"","id":""},"contentDescription":"","contentPlaces":[],"associatedPlaces":[],"contentPerson":[],"associatedPerson":[],"contentOrganisations":[],"associatedOrganisations":[],"contentPeople":[],"associatedPeople":[],"contentEvents":[],"associatedEvents":[{"text":"Album: The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars (1972)","id":"AUTH401592"}],"contentOthers":[],"contentConcepts":[],"contentLiteraryRefs":[],"galleryLabels":[],"partNumbers":["LOAN:AMERICASFOUNDATION.2909-2024"],"accessionNumberNum":"2909","accessionNumberPrefix":"LOAN:AMERICASFOUNDATION","accessionYear":2024,"otherNumbers":[],"copyNumber":"","aspects":["WHOLE"],"assets":[],"recordModificationDate":"2026-02-03","recordCreationDate":"2025-06-23","availableToBook":true}}
