The script was written by Artistic Director Bob Frith. Although mostly following the house style of mute performance, Angus was partly performed in Gaelic and incorporated traditional Gaelic music. \r\n\r\nThe show is conceived around the life of Angus McPhee, an outsider artist from South Uist in the Outer Hebrides. McPhee fought in the Second World War but was invalided out, spending the majority of his life in a Highland asylum as an elective mute. During this time, he wove fanciful clothing from the grasses and other vegetation that he harvested from the hospital farm. The surviving materials are now in the collections of Glasgow Museums.","physicalDescription":"Folded single sheet flyer advertising 2013 tour of <Angus: Weaver of Grass</i>.
