The boutique became a fashionable place to shop for affluent tourists and inhabitants of the city for many years, closing in 2012 after Hamilton’s death. According to an article in the Mumbai Times, Hamilton was responsible for sourcing merchandise from antique bazaars in the city and Pullen was responsible for sourcing the textiles and clothing.  \r\nThe sari was donated to the V&A by Avi and Fram Dinshaw.
