It is one of a pair, its partner dish being filled with walnuts. In style it is of the English Rococo revival.\r\n\r\nRococo style came to England from France in the 1730s, was out of fashion by the 1770s and enjoyed a long revival from about 1820. English companies such as Coalport catered for the enthusiasm for eighteenth-century porcelain of French and German factories such as Sèvres and Meissen, with their swirling forms and bright sugary colours.","physicalDescription":"Circular dish of bone china, painted with enamels and with a gilt openwork border and four small scrolled feet, and filled with green peas in their shells and pease blossom amongst them.","artistMakerPerson":[],"artistMakerOrganisations":[{"name":{"text":"Minton","id":"A9175"},"association":{"text":"manufacturer","id":"x33306"},"note":""}],"artistMakerPeople":[],"materials":[{"text":"bone china","id":"AAT233473"}],"techniques":[{"text":"painted","id":"x30138"},{"text":"gilded","id":"AAT53789"}],"materialsAndTechniques":"Bone china painted with enamels and gilded","categories":[{"text":"Ceramics","id":"THES48982"},{"text":"Bone China","id":"THES48987"}],"styles":[],"collectionCode":{"text":"CER","id":"THES48594"},"images":["2009CC7065","2009CC7066","2006BC7242","2006AL5636","2006AL5635","2006AL5634","2021MU6815"],"imageResolution":"high","galleryLocations":[{"current":{"text":"145","id":"THES49865"},"free":"","case":"14","shelf":"3","box":""}],"partTypes":[[{"text":"Dish","id":""}]],"contentWarnings":[{"apprise":"","note":""}],"placesOfOrigin":[{"place":{"text":"Stoke-on-Trent","id":"x29185"},"association":{"text":"made","id":"x28654"},"note":""}],"productionDates":[{"date":{"text":"ca. 1825","earliest":"1820-01-01","latest":"1829-12-31"},"association":{"text":"made","id":"x28654"},"note":""}],"associatedObjects":[],"creditLine":"Given by Lady Charlotte Schreiber","dimensions":[{"dimension":"Height","value":"7","unit":"cm","qualifier":"","date":{"text":"","earliest":null,"latest":null},"part":"","note":""},{"dimension":"Diameter","value":"18.5","unit":"cm","qualifier":"","date":{"text":"","earliest":null,"latest":null},"part":"","note":""}],"dimensionsNote":"","marksAndInscriptions":[],"objectHistory":"One of a pair with 414:810-1885 (Sch.
