Each number in the series was devoted to a single British photographer and included four photogravures and a letterpress essay contained in a brown letterpress cover with letterpress endpapers. The series was edited by W. Arthur Boord, published by Kegan Paul, Trench, Trubner & Co., Ltd. and printed by Chiswick Press.
