The trainers have black suede heels and toes with white contrast stitching. The sides are canvas, printed with a black and white chequerboard design. The jagged 'BOWIE' logo, first seen on the front cover of the David Bowie album<i> Diamond Dogs,</i> is embroidered in red on each side, along with a red and black lightning bolt. The sides of the trainers also have a cream leather strip. The trainers are padded, with a high rise around the ankle, and lace up with white shoelaces. \n\nThe trainers have thick white rubber mid-soles with brown outer soles with a waffle texture on the bottom. The inside of each shoe is lined with bright red fabric, with the 'BOWIE' and 'VANS' logos printed in red. Both shoes also have further printed writing inside the tongue. The left shoe has a plastic cable tie attached to it, with two printed glossy cardboard tags. The right shoe has a white sticker on the underneath of the sole, which is printed with black writing. \n\nThe trainers are held within a cardboard shoe box. The box is hinged on one of the long sides, and has a glossy outer finish. It is cream, with a large printed red and blue lightning bolt and red logos. On the bottom of the box, there is a large printed size chart and information about the manufacturing of the shoes. On the left side of the box, there is a adhesive sticker printed with product information.
