The upper and lower section each have a black plastic cork protector covering the connection points. It rests in a black, vinyl-covered case with silver clasps, which is lined in burgundy coloured velvet. In this case is also a reed inside a plastic case, and a white, round pot of cork grease. The entire case fits inside an outer, zip-up carry case with handles, made of black nylon and embroidered with the maker's name in yellow to the front. Inside the front zippered pocket of this case is a spare reed in a plastic and cardboard packet, and a yellow cleaning cloth in a plastic
