The outside is grey in colour, with a ridged section on top. Both bottom corners are significantly dented. It has a hinged lid, which has a silver metal rim and fastens with silver metal clasps. The top of the case has a piece of bright yellow tape on it, and a nailed metal plate with the 'Conn' logo engraved. There are metal feet on the bottom of the case. It Has a grey plastic carry handle, onto which there have been tied two luggage tags with clear plastic tubing. One tag is made of hard plastic, printed with the logo for Mustique airlines along with further writing (inscription 10). The other tag is formed of a laminated sheet of yellow paper printed with black writing (inscription 11). The inside of the case is lined with cushioned dark blue velvet, arranged in moulded shapes for the saxophone parts. There is a small hinged compartment inside for accessories.
