It has a hinged silver metal handle on top, and a seperate lid to be placed over the front. The lid has silver metal locks on each side, and so can be locked to the main unit.The main tape machine unit has two silver metal reels on the front, a tape counter, two tape tension guide switches, and a hinged silver cover for the tape transport system. At the bottom there are four large metal dials (labelled 'VOLUME', 'BALANCE', 'LEVEL' AND 'LEVEL'). There are also a range of smaller red and dark grey retangular plastic buttons, labelled with white text. The power dial is missing.On the back of the tape machine unit, there are a range on input, output and power jacks. There is a large vent. There is a small hinged compartment which reveals the fuse, and multiple adhesive stickers printed with writing.
