A wooden pannelled box with metal strips and clasps, and a transparent plastic detatchable cover. The top half of the backboard contains two round black capstans, five silver metal round dials and an oval-shaped silver spooling device in the centre. The bottom half of the backboard has 15 black and red buttons for controlling playback, six silver round dials, and five silver sliding dials. There is a decibel counter on the bottom left-hand side, and a minute counter reading 41 minutes and 35 seconds on the right-hand side. Attached to the bottom of the box is a black US plug socket and wire. The box has a number of coloured stickers atttached, including one reading 'Revox' and another reading 'No. 70003'. The original paper production tag is still attached to the top handle of the box with
