The piece was structured around live video links of different conversations, performances and events from Japan, South Korea, China, the Soviet Union, the United States, Germany, Ireland, Israel, Brazil and Austria.\n\nDavid Bowie broadcast from the PBS studios in New York City, where he performed 'Look Back in Anger' with the dance troupe La La La Human Steps, principally with dancer Louise Lecavalier. Bowie also carried out a conversation via satellite with Japanese musician Ryuichi Sacamoto.\n\nIn 1996, Nam June Paik created this canvas print, which features images of David Bowie's performance from 'Wrap Around the World'. Below the images, there is a reproduction of the screen of the early video and image editing software Quantel Paintbox.
