There are also two flap pockets, one of each side of the jacket. The majority of the jacket is cream cotton/wool blend, but the collar, lapels and pocket flaps are covered in white shiny silk. There are four large metal buttons covered in white silk which fasten the jacket. The cuffs have an unusual slanted point shape. the jacket is lined with cream material. There is a cream fabric label sewn into the inner neckline of the jacket, which has been written on with pen (Inscription 1). \n\n<b>Trousers:</b>\nCream coloured suit trousers, matching the jacket. They have wide, straight legs and gather in several pleats at the top. They have two pockets. They fasten with a concealed metal zip fly, and two cream plastic buttons. A piece of metal wire has also been twisted into a loop at the waist, perhaps to allow the button to be fastened differently.  The trousers are mainly unlined, but there is a small strip of grey woven fabric lining the waistband. There is a cream fabric label sewn into the inner waistband of the trousers, which has been written on with pen (Inscription 2). \n\n<b>Shirt:</b>\nCream coloured long sleeved shirt with pointed collar. It fastens with cream plastic buttons. There is cotton ribbon tying the cuffs together. There is a white fabric label sewn into the inner neckline of the shirt, embroidered with black writing (Inscription 3).\n\n<b>Tie:</b>\nWide, shiny white silk tie. There is a small black fabric label sewn onto the thin end of the tie, embroidered with white writing (Inscription 4). \n\n<b>Shoes:</b>\nA pair of cream leather heeled lace-up brogues, with wooden soles, cotton laces and metal eyelets. There is text printed on the rubber soles of both shoes (Inscription 5), and inside each shoe (Inscription 6). Burretti designed many of the earliest and most recognisable Ziggy Stardust outfits worn both on and off stage, and worked closely with Bowie to establish the overall Ziggy “look”. Burretti also designed many of the two-piece suits worn by Bowie throughout the <i>Diamond Dogs</i> tour in 1974.
