Her design for the costume can be found in archive file DBA/2/1/18/2. Moseley handpainted the costume with UV paint, with a colour palette influenced by Paul  Klee's 'Blue Night' painting and geometric shapes inspired by Marcel Duchamp's painting  'Nude Descending a Staircase'.\r\n\r\n","historicalContext":"","briefDescription":"'Urban Space Cowboy' jacket designed by Diana Moseley for David Bowie, for the <i>Glass Spider</i> tour, 1987","bibliographicReferences":[],"production":"","productionType":{"text":"","id":""},"contentDescription":"","contentPlaces":[],"associatedPlaces":[],"contentPerson":[],"associatedPerson":[],"contentOrganisations":[],"associatedOrganisations":[],"contentPeople":[],"associatedPeople":[],"contentEvents":[],"associatedEvents":[{"text":"Concert tour: The Glass Spider Tour (30 May - 28 Nov 1987)","id":"AUTH401723"}],"contentOthers":[],"contentConcepts":[],"contentLiteraryRefs":[],"galleryLabels":[],"partNumbers":["S.344-2024"],"accessionNumberNum":"344","accessionNumberPrefix":"S","accessionYear":2024,"otherNumbers":[{"type":{"text":"David Bowie Archive Number","id":"THES394108"},"number":"1987.2008.0002"}],"copyNumber":"","aspects":["WHOLE"],"assets":[],"recordModificationDate":"2026-03-30","recordCreationDate":"2024-03-19","availableToBook":false}}
