Wedgwood creamware, and coloured bodies are still known as Queen's ware, and the name has come to be used, erroneously, as a generic term for creamware of other factories. Utilitarian tableware and kitchenware were a staple of Wedgwood’s output during the nineteenth century. Queen’s ware continued to prove itself a versatile and durable ceramic body, suited to a wide variety of practical uses in the kitchen.","physicalDescription":"Butter curler, Queen's ware; glazed, handle with spade shaped and curled tool, acanthus decoration both sides on join between handle and tool, tool with ribbed texture on both sides.","artistMakerPerson":[],"artistMakerOrganisations":[{"name":{"text":"Josiah Wedgwood and Sons","id":"A1450"},"association":{"text":"manufacturers","id":"AAT25230"},"note":""}],"artistMakerPeople":[],"materials":[{"text":"earthenware","id":"x29356"}],"techniques":[{"text":"glazing","id":"AAT53914"}],"materialsAndTechniques":"Queen's ware","categories":[{"text":"V&A Wedgwood Collection","id":"THES276060"},{"text":"ceramics","id":"THES48982"}],"styles":[],"collectionCode":{"text":"WED","id":"THES270009"},"images":[],"imageResolution":"high","galleryLocations":[{"current":{"text":"WDG2","id":"THES292798"},"free":"","case":"CA35","shelf":"","box":""}],"partTypes":[[{"text":"curlers","id":"AAT236310"}]],"contentWarnings":[{"apprise":"","note":""}],"placesOfOrigin":[{"place":{"text":"Etruria","id":"x33200"},"association":{"text":"","id":""},"note":""}],"productionDates":[{"date":{"text":"ca. 1810","earliest":"1805-01-01","latest":"1814-12-31"},"association":{"text":"made","id":"x28654"},"note":""}],"associatedObjects":[],"creditLine":"V&A Wedgwood Collection.
