While the steel is rigid and static, the brooch's wings evoke the fluttering of an insect. ","physicalDescription":"Openwork brooch of dark grey and acid-green powder-coated steel. From the central spine a series of nine slender ribs with pointed oval protrusions extend to right and left like wings. The structure and the colours repeat on the reverse of the brooch but with eight ribs rather than nine. On both front and back the ribs are raised at an angle to the spine to add depth.
