His work focusses on one geographical area at a time which he then captures repeatedly over a number of years. His pictures are usually devoid of people, but a human imprint is evident in manmade structures such as roads or an area such as The Fens, marshland in the east of England which was drained centuries ago.  \r\n\nHis interest is in the constant play between the natural and manmade world, and his photographs capture nature’s ability to endure and triumph when co-existing with human interference.
